Lucille J. Benedict, age 71 of Cardington died Monday morning, November 1, 2004 at Bennington Glen in Marengo.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1933 in Columbus to the late Herbert R. and Lillie (Hackney) Parsons. A graduate of Marengo High School Class of 1951, Lucille was a homemaker and member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook, at her table every meal was "Sunday dinner". Lucille enjoyed oil painting, playing the piano, sewing and collecting dolls, she was most proud of her children , grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Gilead, Cynthia (Dennis) Cowles of Cardington, Elaine (Tom) Pruett of Cardington, Mark (Carol) Benedict of Florence, SC, Charlene (Philip) Ward of Granville, Timothy Richard (Elaine) Benedict of Mt. Vernon, Jeffrey Michael ( Tracey) Benedict of Cardington, Laura (Greg) Stevens of Chesterville, Elizabeth Marie (Christopher) Miller of Marengo, Emily (Hobie) Lake of Marion, 31 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters: Ruth Reddy of Phoenix, AZ, Betty Parsons of Indiana.

Preceded in death by her Husband of 40 years: Richard in 1992, Daughter: Eileen, Granddaughter: Jenny R. Long, Brother: Herbert Parsons, Sisters: Mildred Moore, Virginia Parsons.
