Our brother, son and all-around wonderful boy, born on Dec. 21, 1992, in San Angelo, died and went to heaven to sing in the heavenly choir. It was his lifetime dream to be a member of the choir at church.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at Word of Life Church, which graciously donated a choir robe so Jimmy will fit right in with the Heavenly Choir. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Sonora Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at Johnson's Funeral Home.

Jimmy Don is survived by his mother, Charlotte Walraven, and sister Staci Walraven, both of San Angelo; brother David Walraven and wife Janie of Austin; grandmother Anna Christian of San Angelo; aunt Nellie Adkins and husband Jack of Sonora; cousins Christie Adkins and Blake Adkins, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from the Rockdale, Texas, area.

He is also survived by his teachers and friends at Lee Middle School where he was attending the eighth grade.

Jimmy Don had a love of toys, especially fire trucks, police cars and ambulances.

He wanted to be a bus-driving policeman, fighting fires and singing in the choir.

Don't weep for me, don't say goodbye

I won't go far, I'll be near by

Within your mind, Deep in your heart

Elohim will take care of the time we're apart
