Andrew Cameron Roth of Buckhannon died at the tender age of 19 years on June 2, 2005. He was born in Elkins on July 18, 1985, the son of Neil Roth and Sara Gorin both of Upshur County. Andrew was honored to be a member of the Texas Roadhouse family of employees in Bridgeport, recently recognized as "Employee of the Month." He enjoyed working at the Roadhouse and was considered a very valuable employee by all who worked with him. This ambitious and energetic young man was hoping to seek a career in the military and attend WVU in the fall of 2005. He was planning to major in petroleum and natural gas engineering.

He has left behind one baby sister, 2-year-old Jessie Oshay Gorin, who loved her brother tremendously. When Jessie asked about her brother Andrew, she always had a big smile on her face. The last day she saw Andrew she told him "You're my favorite" and they enjoyed playing at the city park that final day in Buckhannon.
Andrew attended Union Elementary School where Mrs. Phillips told him that he gave her "the best hugs ever." He was a member of the Buckhannon-Upshur High School band, trombone section. Andrew excelled as an athlete, and acquired local celebrity status for his running in cross country and track. He enjoyed hiking, biking, hunting, fishing and basically anything outdoors. He was an avid cyclist at an early age of eight, taking 20-mile rides with his mother. In his teenage years, he would frequently ride his bike to school, run track practice then ride his bike to work at Burger King, then home to Daysville. He was an incredible athlete with an unquenchable hunger for excitement and fun. Andrew had boundless energy, dreams and aspirations about his future, and possessed an unmistakable love of life. Andrew was a handsome young man with talent, drive, and a bright future never realized. This tragedy is devastating to his loved ones.
