Paula Colton
85, of 7976 Turin Road, died yesterday at Rome Hospital.
She was born, daughter of Gustave and Pauline Pirk Wehling. She had lived in Rome all her life. For the past five years, she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Marjorie) Wyman. She had formerly lived on North Jay Street.
Mrs. Colton attended Rome Schools. In 1912 she was married to Newton Colton in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rome. He died in 1940
Mrs. Colton was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and of its Senior Citizens Group and Ladies Aid Society.
She had worked in Nelson’s Department Store and the State School for the Deaf. She retired from the school in 1956.
She leaves her daughter: a son,
Walter M. Colton, Yonkers, N.Y.
