Johannes Gerardus Maria van NASS was born November 17th.-1911 in NIJMEGEN-HOLLAND(EUROPE).
First His Familyname was just: NASS
January 1th.-1967 He changed His Familyname in: van NASS
He joined the Royal Dutch Marinecorps(Founded December 10th.-1665 !) and on September 5th.-1933 He was Second Lieutenant Royal Dutch Marines.
September 5th.-1935 promoted: First Lieutenant
From 1942 untill the end of WW2 in 1945 He was a Prisoner in a Japanese Prisoner of War Camp in the DUTCH Dominion: East-Indies,that was occupied by the Japanese Army.
After liberation He was July 1th.-1945 promoted to CAPTAIN.
September 1th.-1945 promoted to: MAJOR
February 1th.-1951 promoted to: LIEUTENANT-COLONEL
November 1th.-1955 promoted to: COLONEL
July 1th.-1960 promoted to: GENERAL-MAJOR and COMMANDER of the ROYAL DUTCH MARINECORPS untill February 16th.-1967.
He was the proud bearer of many High National and International Decorations.
A IRON Royal Dutch Marine in the best Corps Tradition.
He died October 5th.-1989 in WASSENAAR-HOLLAND and is buried on the Local Church Cemetery.
