Mr. Tannehill died at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. He was born May 3, 1958, in Springfield, the son of Emery and Mattie Tannehill. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union 978, a skilled carpenter and was working on the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., at the time of his death. He was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Tannehill is survived by a dauther, Micah Dakota of Springfield; his mother, Mattie Reeves of Springfield; three sisters, Barbara June Burk and husband Fred of Willard, Reba Davis and husband Don of Springfield and Christine Lee and husband Tommy of Summerville, S.C.; five nephews, Tim Burk, Joe Davis and Bobby Davis, all of Springfield, Mark Burk of Willard and Tommy Lee of Summerville, S.C.; three nieces, Pam Becker, Tammy Lee and Cathy Browder, all of Summerville, S.C.; and several aunts and uncles.He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Jesse and Allie Tannehill and the Rev. Lloyd and Lula Norton.
