Michele R. "Shelly" Weidler-Kaputa, 44, of Girard, died Thursday May 25, 2006 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie. She was born September 12, 1961 in Erie, a daughter of the late Richard L. and Henrietta M. Vickers Weidler Sr. Shelly graduated from the Girard High School in 1979. While there, she was active in the "Yellowjacket" Swim Team and later the Girard Boro swim team. She worked at Pleasant Ridge Manor for the past 26 years as a Nurses Aide. She enjoyed taking care of the elderly; enjoyed animals, was a Steelers fan, and most of all, a devoted mother to her son, Joe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard L. Weidler, Jr. She is survived by a son, Joseph Thomas Kaputa IV of Girard; a brother, Ronald W. Weidler and his wife, Karen of Girard; also by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
