Professional Baseball Player. He was a member of the St. Louis Browns during the 1948 and 1949 seasons. Anderson appeared in 122 games over the two seasons with the Browns as a second baseman, and finished his career with a .184 batting average. Anderson was captured by Germans during the Battle of the Bulge and was a Prisoner of War from Nov 1944 to May 1945. In the baseball minor leagues before the war, he recuperated and finally made it to the major leagues in 1948.
