Funeral mass for Roy Baca, 49, of Capitan, was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Capitan, September 20th. Officiating was Fr. Dave Bergs. Burial followed at the Capitan Cemetery.
Mr. Baca died September 17 at his home. He was born January 13, 1947 at Lincoln to Nellie and Lupe Baca, who both preceded him in death. He had lived in the Capitan, Ft Stanton and Lincoln areas all of his life. He was a member of the Ft. Stanton Volunteer Fire Department, the Lincoln County Long Rifle's Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a supervisor at Ft. Stanton Hospital.
He married Theresa Montoya on July 9, 1974 at Carrizozo, NM.
He is survived by his wife Theresa of Capitan; son Orlando Baca of Capitan; two daughters, Denise Saiz and husband Rudy Saiz, Jr. of Capitan and Claudine and husband Gilbert Quintana of Albuquerque; three brothers, Candy Baca, El Paso, TX, Eddie & Barney Baca, both of Albuquerque; sister, Rita Baca, Albuquerque,and six grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel, Ruidoso.
