Beverly Sue Beatty DeMott, 60, lifelong Shelbyville resident, died Thursday at her home.

Born April 20, 1939, she was the daughter of John W. and Opal A. (Scott) Beatty.

Ms. DeMott graduated in 1958 from Shelbyville High School. She retired in 1994 from Indiana-American Water Corp., where she was office manager.

She attended Fellowship Baptist Church, Shelbyville.

Survivors include her mother, Shelbyville; two sons, Michael J. DeMott and Marc W. DeMott, both of Shelbyville; a brother, Larry "Pinky" Beatty, Shelbyville; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home, 232 W. Broadway. The Rev. Frank Smith will officiate.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Friends may visit Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
