GALLUP — Funeral Mass for Manuel "Macgyver" Arellanas 32, will be April 27 at 10 a.m. Rev. Lawrence J. O'Keefe will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gallup city cemetery. A Rosary will be Wednesday, April 26 at 7 p.m.Arellanas was born Dec 13, 1973 and died April 21 in Gallup. He was born into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
He attended school in Gallup. His hobbies included fishing, mechanical work and fixing things. He was known as "Macgyver" for his ability to repair anything.
Survivors include his mother Rose Chavez of Gallup; brothers, Ernest E. Arellanas of Gallup, Max R. Arellanas of Calif.Arellanas was preceded in death by his father Ernie O. Arellanas; grandparents Manuel Pichardo and Connie Pichardo.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Arellanas, Juan Arellanas, Leonard Arellanas, Max Arellanas, John Barraza and Frank Jones.Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
