Wanda Louise Richards, was born February 17, 1930, in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of John Orville and Ina Park Bookless.

She lived in central and southwest Kansas and attended school at Bloom, Elkhart, Raymond and Glen Elder, graduating from Glen Elder High School in 1948.

She attended secretary school in Kansas City and worked for GMAC in Kansas City and California. She made her home with her husband, Don, and family in Liberal before moving to Greensburg in 1966. She was active with family activities and church life, serving as church secretary for a number of years. She was a bookkeeper at the Greensburg State Bank, retiring after 20 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, past president of the United Methodist Women, and the FYI Club, all of Greensburg. Her hobbies were sewing, needlework, gardening, flowers and traveling with her husband.

On April 7, 1951, she married Donald Richards in Scandia, Kansas. She was the mother to Dennis Richards, Douglas Richards, Marcia Richards Kelly, and Mark Richards.

She died April 27, 2004, at the Hospice House of Pratt, Kansas.

She was truly one of the most kind and gentle women ever to bless this earth. She will be forever loved and forever missed
