Charles W. Allman Funeral Rites Held Wednesday

Funeral services for Charles William Allman were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Stuart Federated Church, with the pastor, Rev. C. C. Norlin in charge. A quartet composed of Mrs. H. L. Cowles, Mrs. Norris Coats, P. E. Johnson and A. C. Berner, accompanied by Mrs. Mabel Krotter supplied the music for the service. Burial was made in the Stuart Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Frank Bigelow, Charles Bigelow, John Ratigan, D. G. Kunz, Ed Josyyn and Ed Pettijohn.

Charles William Allman was born September 12, 1864 in Indiana, and died on January 10, 1943, in Stuart, Nebraska, at the home of his son, Charles, with whom he had made his home since last October. At the time of his death he was 78 years, 3 months, and 29 days old.

When a boy, Mr. Allman came with his parents to Holt County, Nebraska. When he grew to manhood he followed the vocation of a carpenter.

He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Simons and to this union seven children were born. Mrs. Allman passed away in 1927.

Mr. Allman is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alta Doyle, Sturgis, SD; Mrs. H. C. Dick, Norfolk, Nebraska; Mrs. Paul Dittmar, Los Angeles, California; four sons, Frank of Kimball, Minnesota; Charles of Stuart; Robert of Santa Monica, California; and Clarence of Casper, Wyoming; and 21 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
