Born Oct. 29, 1912, in Bengal, she was the daughter of Wallace A. and Grace (Riser) McCain. She married George W. Crafton on June 19, 1932, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1968.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay (husband, Lance) Koenig of Shelbyville and Ann (husband, Don) Dickens of Columbus; three grandchildren, Scott Furgeson and Lora Furgeson, both of Shelbyville, and Jeff Huff of Edinburgh; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Sue Crafton; and one brother, William F. McCain.
Mrs. Crafton was a lifelong Shelby County resident.
She was employed at Tippecanoe Press from 1954 to 1977, retiring Oct. 27, 1977.
Mrs. Crafton was a member of First Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star No. 73.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. James Horner and Wilbur Harvey officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
