Evelena Esther Harrison Bonniwell of Hacks Neck, quietly passed away at the home of her daughter in Onley on Friday, April 14, 2006. Born on November 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Thomas and Mary Etta Killmon Harrison. She was a member of Evergreen United Methodist Church in Hacks Neck where she was active in the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Bonniwell was a retired CNA from Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Bonniwell Munn and husband Bruce of Wachapreague, and René Bonniwell Bloedel and husband Brian of Onley; nine grandchildren, Joe Richardson of Hacks Neck, Jeffrey Munn of Seaford, Del., Lara Munn Meyer of Grahamsville, N.Y., Chris Bonniwell of Hacks Neck, Nicole, Alexandra, Ann, Julian and Luke Thomas Bloedel, all of Onley; a sister, Marguerite Helm of Laramie, Wyo.; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; and many cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Larry Thomas Bonniwell; and two sisters, Rosetta Harrison Jenkins and Ellen Harrison Shaw. Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Monday, April 17, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Matthew Killmon officiating. Interment was in the Belle Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Evergreen United Methodist Church, C/O Cindy Custis, P.O. Box 155, Pungoteague, VA 23422 or to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, VA 23421. Arrangements by the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home.
