Albany, -- J. M. Brock, 81, a local resident, died this morning at Palmyra Park Hospital in Albany.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Kimbrell Stern Funeral Home in Albany with graveside services at 3 p.m. Thursday at Patrick Cemetery in Columbus.
Mr. Brock was born September 17, 1892, in Cullman County, Alabama, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin (sic) Marion Brock. He was a retired building contractor and was a member of the Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Estelle Thompson Brock, Albany; one daughter, Mrs. J. L. Malone, Albany; one brother, Charles Brock, Gulfport, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Lela Cooper, Thomasville, Ga.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren." [Columbus (GA) Ledger newspaper, Tuesday.
