Obituary:
Funeral services for Hubert Edward Shed, 64, of Needville, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg with the Rev. Byron Williamson officiating the services.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2004 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home.
Hubert was born Oct. 7, 1939 in Austin to Henry Edward Shed and Beatrice Bell Shed. He passed away Oct. 4, 2004 in Houston.
He was a wonderful husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and best friend. Bear retired from Nalco Chemical in Sugar Land March 1, 1992, after 20-plus years. He loved to spend time with his family and have everybody get together to play cards. Hubert loved to play golf and go to flea markets. He liked to go deer hunting when he was able to. Hubert was always ready to help anyone. He liked to watch the old westerns on TV and read Louis L'amour books.
Hubert was loved by everyone and will be missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Edward Shed; and brothers-in-law, Dave Koehler and Roy Gene Engelhardt.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg. 281-341-8800.
Burial section is Sec. 3C, Lot 236, Space 6.
