William married Margaret J. "Maggie" ___ abt. 1858 and they had 4 children: James A., Harry, Maude, & Gertrude. He died in late 1864 of injuries sustained in battle, probably the Kansas City area. Maggie Carriger DeLong married Nathaniel Napoleon Kinney in Dec 1866, only months after meeting him. (Bio info provided by Vonda Wilson Sheets )
