My Grandmother was a loving, hardworking mother to ten children, Bessie, Napoleon, Delia, Della, Buster, Wilson, Ollie, Lincoln, Sherman, and Dan. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She married my grandfather in 1912, and they divorced sometime in the 1930's. The older children at that time were unable to continue school because they had to find work to help care for the family. She never remarried. I didn't get to know her because my own parents divorced when I was 5 and we moved to another state with my mom, so I really don't know any of my father's side of the family, although they remarried later, we never moved back to where his family originated. I wish I had been lucky enough to have known her.
