"MRS. D. W. BAKER
"Mrs. Hester Baker, wife of D.W. Baker, four and one-half miles southwest of Chillicothe, died at 1 o'clock this afternoon at St. Joseph hospital at the age of 65 years. Mrs. Baker was born in Wapello county and has lived here all her life. She was prominent in her church and community, and active in charity work.
"Besides her husband she is survived by four children who are as follows: Claude F. Baker, Chicago; Mrs. Marie McMullen, Waukee, Iowa; Mrs. C.A. Swanson, Chillicothe; Ralph Baker, Route 4, Ottumwa. Sisters, Mrs. Estella Zigler and Mrs. La Rue Rice of Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Rose Burkhart and brothers Jerry Hoover, Mountain Park, Okla., and Sylvester Hoover, of Drakeville also survive.
