Charles S. Agans, the son of John and Esther Little Agans, was born Jan. 1, 1880 and passed away at the Monroe County Hospital December 28, 1967 at the age of 87.

In 1905 he was united in marriage to Rose Osgood who survives.

He made his home in Albia since 1918 and was a railway mail clerk until his retirement in 1946.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Rose, are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at the Geyer-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. John A. Lippincott officiating, assisted by Donald Plum. Burial was in the Murray Cemetery.
