VAN BUREN LOSES FINE MEN
Death claimed well-known Van Buren man this week. Rev. Edwin Burris. Rev. Burris, 64, former pastor of the Van Buren First Assembly of God Church, died Wednesday night in a Fort Smith hospital. He lived at 6507 S. R. St. in Fort Smith.
An evangelist, he was a minister for 38 years. He was a 1936 graduate of Southwest Bible School in Enid, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, a son, four sisters, two brothers, and one grandson.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Van Buren First Assembly of God Church, graveside service was at Oakland Cemetery at Russellville, Arkansas under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
