Mrs. Bailey was born in Baldwin, Kentucky on May 28, 1907. She was the daughter of the late Dan and Etta (Hubbard) Hays. Mrs. Davis was a retired beautician and a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Enest. Mrs. Davis was a passionate rose gardener, having taken care of her roses until she was 105 years of age. She loved making quilts, china painting, and anything that kept her mind active. Before moving to live with her daughter, Virginia was active in the Christian Women's association in Richmond, Kentucky
Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Charles Willis of Yellville, Arkansas;
two grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Services will be conducted on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Combs, Parson & Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Richmond, Kentucky. Officiating the service will be Rev. Marty Frazer.
Entombment will be in Evergreen Garden Mausoleum in Louisville, Kentucky.
Burns Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
