Miss Vera F. Waite

Services for Miss Vera F. Waite, 91, formerly of 2075 Sunnyview Drive, will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Church.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Asbury, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ed Siegert Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where the wake service will be said at 7 p.m.

Miss Waite was born Jan. 23, 1897, in Dubuque, daughter of Arthur R. and Rosary Mary (McPoland) Waite. She died Monday night, Feb. 22, 1988 at Luther Manor.

She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Iowa State University, Ames, and taught home economics at Senior High School for many years before she retired. She was a member of St. Anthony's Rosary Society, Phi Kappa Phi, Delta Kappa Gamma, Iowa State Teachers Association, Dubuque Teachers Association, Mercy Hospital Auxillary, Retired Teachers Association, Dubuque Historical Society and Iowa State University Association and past president of the Lamia Chapter.

Surviving are cousins.
