Eleanor V. (Bach) Cummings Haslett, MI Born May 3, 1914, in Perry; died February 6, 2006, at the age of 91. Mrs. Cummings was a charter member of St. Therese Catholic Church, where she was a member of St. Therese Circle. She was also a charter member of the Catholic Community of St. Jude, where she was a member of the St. Jude Altar Society. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs. Cummings was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred V.; her parents, Joseph and Rose (Haas) Bach; great-granddaughter, Brianna O'Neill; 5 brothers and sisters; and 2 step-great-grandchildren, Justin Morse and Patrick Bachannan. Surviving are her daughters, Sandra (Gerald) Vaughn of East Lansing, Patricia (Robert) PeLong of Williamston and Virginia (Robert) Whipp of Eaton Rapids; son, Richard (Sharon) Cummings of Bath; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Linford DuBreuil; and sisters-in-law, Iola Cummings and Helen Bach. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt. The Rite of Committal will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, on Wednesday from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. with the Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the church on Thursday 1-hour prior to the service. 7, 2006
