Services will be Jan. 4, at the Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Flintstone, MD. Memorial services will be Jan. 8, at the Broadway Presbyterian Church in Sedalia. Burial will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone. There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Chase was born Dec. 1, 1926, in Davis County, IA, to Aura R. and Mary (Bohi) Barnett. In 1947, she married Clarence D. Chase, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
She moved to Columbia a year ago from Sedalia. She was employed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture until her retirement.
She volunteered at the Bothwell Regional Hospital Auxiliary in Sedalia and delivered meals on wheels.
She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the First United Methodist Church in Sedalia and the Stitch and Chat Group in her church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Wood of Columbia; a son Leroy Chase of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Mary Stufflebeam of Washington, IA; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, her parents and husband.
