Records indicate Simeon's baptism was April 22, 1711 to parents Margreitje Simese Van Winkle Winne (1676-1730) and Cornelius Breyandt (1676-1720). Simeon's actual birth date is not known, but probable that it was in late 1710 or early 1711.

At this time, the burial places of his parents, Margreitje and Cornelius are unknown. Margretitje and Cornelius had six known children:

Annetje Bryant Kip (1702-1727)
Johannes Briant (1704-1787)
Hendrickje Bryant Carle (1709-1770)
Simeon Bryant (1710-1785)
Rachel Bryant (1712-unk)
Andrew Briant (1713-1749)

The eldest brother, Johannes OR John Briant (1704-1787) presumably rests in Randolph, NJ, along with many of his descendants, as 'Hanus' fled the Springfield NJ area after the Battle of Springfield in 1780. His grave however is not known.

Simeon's younger brother Andrew Briant rests in the Westfield Presbyterian Cemetery.

The resting places of the other known siblings (Hannah, Henrietta, and Rachel) are not known at this time.

Per the 1913 genealogy book, "Ancestry and Descendants of David Bryant 1756-1835", and multiple other references, Hannah Searing Bryant and Simeon Bryant were parents of twelve (12) children:

Phoebe Briant Littel 1736-1800
Jacob Briant 1739-Abt 1790
Hannah Briant 1741-1803
Sarah Briant Ross 1743-Abt 1813
Samuel Briant 1746-1804
Elias Briant 1748-Abt 1800
Rachel S. Briant Ross 1750-1810
Elizabeth Briant Mulford 1753-Abt 1800
James Bryant Abt 1755- possibly Abt 1854
NOTE: see Bio notes of James
David Bryant 1756-1835
Rhoda Briant Marsh Cooper 1758-1843
Simeon Bryant 1760-1831

Simeon and Hannah spent their lifetimes on a farm in Springfield, New Jersey.

During the American Revolution, and specifically the battles of Springfield (January 1777 and June 1780), when British Troops sortied from Staten Island to threaten the colonial troops camped in Morristown, the town of Springfield was burned. Simeon and Hannah received reimbursements for losses due to battle damage (Report of Commission on Public Records of New Jersey, filed at State House, page 104) 'Hannah Briant 1776 - 1780 - 16 pounds; Simeon Briant - 462 pounds, 11 shillings, Inventory of losses by depredation of English Troops, dated Springfield, N.J. 11 May 1789'.
