72 year old Wanda Lou Adcock of A.B. Frazier Road died Monday at St. Thomas Midtown. She was a Baptist and a co-owner of Smithville Nursery. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. David Mahan and Mike Carpenter will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Flora Hale Simmons; mother-in-law, Mildred Evans; and sister-in-law, Jean Hooper Clendenon. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Dean Adcock. Four children, Eddie and Rita Adcock of Smithville, Teela and Ralph Wise of Dandridge, Dewayne and Missy Adcock of Sugoinsville, and Denenne and Rob Willingham of Smithville. Eight grandchildren, Sandy and Alec Winter of Smithville, David and Shannon Adcock of McMinnville, Courtney Adcock, Evan Adcock, Ethan Adcock, and Jessie Adcock all of Surgoinsville, Terry Wise of Dandridge, and Hannah Willingham of Smithville. Six great grandchildren. Two brothers, Laverne and Otella Simmons of Pikeville and Harold and Juanita Simmons of Pikeville. One sister, Edna and Oliver Cordell of Pikeville. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Whorton Springs Building Fund, the Lighthouse Christian Camp, or to the Nashville Rescue Mission at 639 Lafayette Street, Nashville, TN, 37209
