(Pennington) Hankins; Andrew J. was son of Fielden Hankins, native of TN; Fielden was b. in 1787, and came to this county from Coles Co., IL in 1834; he later moved to Hire Twp., this county, where he died in 1881; he was buried at Vermont, IL. Andrew J.'s mother was killed by a runaway team of horses in this county. Andrew J. & Lydia A. (Pennington) were md. Aug 28, 1845; she was a daughter of Joel & Elizabeth (Smith) Pennington. Lydia A. (Pennington) Hankins d. in 1885, and was buried at Good Hope. A.J. later lived in Blandinsville, IL where he ran a harness business.
