Geraldine was born November 27, 1916, in Camp County, Texas to Clarence and Stella Baxter. She was raised in Camp County and graduated high school in Pittsburgh, Texas in 1937, married Eddie Roberts on May 24, 1937 and moved to Fort Worth and then to Stamford in June of 1950. She was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church in Stamford, and the Eastern Star Lodge # 269. She worked as a nurse's aide at Stamford Memorial Hospital for 12 years.
She is survived by 1 daughter and son in law, Natoma and Don Doty of Anson, 1 sister Joyce Keith of Pittsburgh, TX, 4 grand daughters, Sara Stewart and husband Joe of Ozona, TX, Lucretia Jordan and husband Fred of Albany, Whitney Lloyd and husband Russell of Meridian, Idaho, and Maria Vestal of Dear Park, New York, 1 grandson, Billy Henning and wife Keisha of Fort Knox, Kentucky, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter, Keteva Henning, 2 brothers, C. M. Baxter and Charles Baxter, and 1 sister, Boyce Harris.
Pallbearers will be Joe Stewart, Fred Jordan, Lance Jordan, Evert Jordan, Joey Wilson, and Chris Peek.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6 until 8 p.m.
