David Ray Norton, 66, passed away April 22, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. He was born February 7, 1948 in Lexington to the late Lillian Mefford Barkley.
He was a member of the Community Draft Horse and Mule Association and former member of the N.R.A and V.F.W.
He is survived by children, David F. (Jamie) Norton of Sadieville and Davina (Ben) Lee of Georgetown; girlfriend, Shellie Mitchell of Sadieville; brother, Tommy Norton of Florida; sisters, Rowena Barkley, Janet Spigles, and Betty Lou Reffett all of Cynthiana. Along with his mother he was preceded in death by step father, Billy Ray Barkley and sisters, Gloria Collins, Debbie Caudill, and Stella Jo.
Services will be 2 PM, Saturday, April 26 at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Brother Carl Jones officiating.
Burial will be at Davis Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chris Tanner, Michael Francis, Josh Crump, Johnathan Humphrey, Tyler Norton, and Dustin Mitchell.
Visitation will be 12 PM - 2 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
