Donald Ackman and Helen Mae Koethe Ackman are my adopted parents. After Mom's death in 1966, Don went on to marry in rapid succession to two women, the first ending in divorce. He was a vile, vitriolic man of no redeeming values that was difficult to live with.

Don sold the house in Titusville, Brevard County, FL in 1988 and moved to Rutherford County, North Carolina, first to the town of Ruth, then to the Washburn community near Bostic with his 3rd wife, Myra Cook Morgan Ricketts Ackman (died 18 Jan 2004). It was the third marriage for both of them.
