June B. Anderson, 79, of Plato Center, died Saturday, Feb. 10, in St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born June 27, 1910, in Halder, Wis., the daughter of John and Margaret Hughes Kurtzwell.
She had been a resident of Plato Center since 1960 and was a member of Plato Center United Methodist Church, Plato Center.
Surviving are her huband, Lester C., whom she married on Aug. 8, 1962, in Muskegon, Mich.; two daughters, Alvera (Jack) Broadbent of Muskegon and Donna (John) Coda of La Grange; two stepsons, Rollyn (Diane) Anderson of Gilberts and Douglas Anderson of Bartlett; three stepdaughters, Kathy (Joseph) Morgan of Streamwood, Phyllis (Dennis) Jurs of Gilberts and Debby (Gary) Kauffman of Elgin; a sister, Theresa (Joseph) Morgan of Carpentersville; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Plato Center United Methodist Church, the Rev. lan Matthei officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Burlington.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. today in Fredrick Funeral Home, Hampshire, and on Tuesday at the church until from 10 a.m. until thr time of services.
Omission of flowers is requested, with memorials to the church.
