Roy Garland Snow, 70, died March 9, 2014 at his home. He was born Dec. 12, 1943 at Mangum, OK, the son of Roy F. and Pearl M. Patterson Snow.

He was retired from the United States Navy after serving for 20 years, he had also worked for Dillon’s, had cooked in several restaurants in Hutchinson, and was retired from the cafeteria at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #982 since 1970, and he had served as Past Governor and was a Pilgrim. He held several offices at local, state and national levels for the Loyal Order of Moose, he was also a member of the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post 68.

Survivors include his mother, Pearl, sister, Martha Schnurr, brother, Raymond Snow and wife Karen, all of Hutchinson, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be 11:00am, Friday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial with Rites from Moose Lodge #982 and Military Honors by United States Navy will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. There will be a book to sign from 9:00am to 9:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Roy Snow Memorial in care of the funeral home.
