Nora Margaret Barnes, 88, died February 7, 1999, at the Pemiscot Skilled Care Center. She was born Tuesday, March 15, 1910, in Sikeston, the daughter of Oliver Perry Sullivan and Leanne Mac (Devers) Sullivan.
She was married to Hurdle Hugh Barnes on November 11, 1932, he preceded her in death August 24, 1964. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Andy, Roy, and Luther Sullivan; one sister, Elsie Matthews; and one grandson, Biff Hugh Barns. She was a seamstress until she retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hayti.
Survivors include the following: a son, Hugh Barnes of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and one sister, Ruby Webb of Hayti; two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Services were held at Bradshaw Osburn Funeral Home in Hayti on February 2, 1999, at 11:00 a.m., with Bro. Bill Wolfe officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
