The son of a Russian Jewish immigrant, S/Sgt. Aaron was born in Brooklyn and was living in Bridgeport, Connecticut when he entered the service.

A radio operator on board a B-24 Liberator on a bombing mission over Germany, he was killed in action along with the rest of the crew when the plane was shot down near Eisenach, Germany.
