Martin Clifford Danner, 67, passed away peacefully Monday morning, May 28, 2007, with his loving family present at his side in Arlington, WA. He was born in Everett, WA on October 4, 1939, to Clifford and Eleanor Danner. Martin was a fourth generation Arlington resident. He was an electrician and worked with his father in their family owned business, Danner Electric, in Arlington from 1960-1967 and with the City of Everett for 37 years where he formed many lifelong friendships with his co-workers. Martin was a volunteer fireman for 25 years with the Silvana Fire Department and enjoyed volunteering for the Silvana and Stanwood Fairs for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, vacationing and traveling with Karen, watching the Mariners, Sonics, Seahawks and wrestling on TV. He also enjoyed helping friends or neighbors who needed help with electrical problems.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Eleanor.
Martin leaves behind his high school sweetheart and ever-loving wife of 47 years, Karen; his children and their spouses, Jeff (Sandy) Danner, of Arlington, Mary (Kelly) Nicholas, of Stanwood, WA,, Norman (Tammy) Danner, of Talbott, TN, and Marna (Jon) Pearson, of Stanwood; grandchildren, Jill, Heidi, Lindsay, Chelsi, Branden, Austin, Julia, and Sarah; and great-granddaughter, Katelynn. He also leaves behind his sister, Carol (Joe) Gonzales, of Arlington; special aunt, Eleanore Staiff, of Everett; and special uncle, Alan Setherley, of Tucson, AZ.
Viewing will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2007, at Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. McLeod Avenue, Arlington. A memorial service in celebration of Martin's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Peace Lutheran Church, 1717 Larson Road, Silvana.
Special thanks to the UW Hospital and the wonderful care they provided and to the Silvana Fire District #19 for the final ride home, Pastor Randy Sinn, Orland and Lynda Freeman for their loving care and support.
