Hilda Irene Fringer entered into eternal slumber November 28 in Sykesville.

She was the daughter of the late Edward L. Hippensteel and Marie Irene Barnhardt Hippensteel.

Mrs. Fringer was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Gamber and Community Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She volunteered at Carroll County Food Sunday.

She was the wife of Donald Theodore Fringer, Sr., who departed this life January 27, 1985, and surviving are one son, James M. Fringer of Gamber, MD; daughter-in-law, Teresa Fringer of Gamber; four grandchildren, Donald T. "Bunky" Fringer, III of McSherrystown, Angela H. and Jamie M. Fringer and Maria L. Swift, all of Westminster, MD; great-grandchildren, William T. Meredith, Ashton N. Shelby, Patrick Fringer, Willow Hope Swift and Matthew Wayne Moorefield; brothers, John Hippensteel, M. Curvin Hippensteel, George Hippensteel, and sisters, Emma Krentler and Mary Weaver, all of PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Donald T. Fringer; brother, Earl Hippensteel; sister, Marie Hippensteel; one great-granddaughter, Kayla Fringer; and Kayla's dear mother and Mrs. Hippensteel's granddaughter-in-law, Becky M. Fringer, who arrived in Heaven one month prior.
