Dr. William Joseph Brown (Doc) passed away 12:45 am on February 12, 2014 at Waterford Place. He was born the son of Earl and Evelyn (Crosley) Brown on June 30, 1931 in Kokomo. He married Sharon K. Theesfeld, his wife of over 52 years, who survives him.

Bill grew up in Kokomo, graduating from Kokomo High School in 1949. He attended college for two years before entering the Air Force, where he served as a clerk and dental technician. After discharge from the Air Force in 1953, he returned to college and graduated from Indiana University in 1959 with his doctorate in dentistry. Following graduation, he set up practice in Kokomo where he met Sharon, one of his early patients. He and Sharon married in Pomeroy, Iowa on September 16, 1961. Bill maintained his practice until 1977 when he retired due to eye problems.

He was a great husband and father, and a friend to so many throughout his life. He liked to play Euchre, spend time talking with friends, and his favorite sayings were "think ahead" and "save your money". He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer for 48 years where he actively participated in the Duo Club. He was a member of the American Dental Association.

He is survived by Sharon Kaye Brown; his daughters Melinda Fulmer of Walton, Indiana, Kimberly (Ronald) DePew of Liberty Township, Ohio, and Lisa (Thomas) Davis of Searcy, Arkansas; grandchildren Ronald (Lea Daley) DePew of Mason Ohio, Jackie DePew of Morrow, Ohio, Thomas DePew (Monica Alsip) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kammie DePew of Indianapolis, Kori Wood of Kokomo, Amber (Kyle) Pierson of Searcy, Arkansas, Megan (Devin Simmons) Davis of Searcy, Arkansas, Jessica (Josh Iler) Davis of Searcy, Arkansas; great-grandchildren Dylan DePew, Annabelle Hintz, Bentley DePew, and Brooklyn DePew; brother Dr. Earl Brown, Jr.; sister L. Corrine Pickering; several nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Brown.

Bill's family would like to express it's appreciation to Dr. Melanie Bozard and the wonderful staff at Waterford Place who took such good care of Bill and provided great support to the entire family.
