Plot number corresponds to the map as recorded in the canvass and survey from the American Indian Institute; "Our People And Where They Rest," (OPAWTR) James W. Tyner and Alice Tyner Timmons, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. 1969 (Library of Congress No. QE99-C5-T97) Volume 1, p. 43. [University that received taxpayer dollars for the program/product; thus presumed to be in the public domain]

Their information (including any diagrams or maps) is given here as a historical reference and is presented "as is." Their book, like many such cemetery listing compilations, may contain errors. As with any genealogy information, this is merely a "source" and should be considered as such. It falls upon the end-user to verify the accuracy. See their map for use as a quick locator tool for graves here. The set of books are available at many Oklahoma libraries. Once freely available for online viewing, the OPAWTR volumes can now be accessed only at a LDS Family History Library, a partner library, or a Family History Center. (LDS)
Aug. 2021 update: I am informed that the set is now available on the Family Search website, but you have to be a member, and be signed in, to access it under "Books."
03 MAY 2023 SAC with additional information.*~The surname is seen alternatively as "Catcher."

Have had a report from multiple FAG volunteers that there may be some confusion--as there were apparently more than one person(s) with a similar name, and / or the dates may be questionable on the marker. This Moses Ketcher (whose parents were reported as John and Marguerite Chambers) supposedly died in 1906, vs. the 1898 that is shown. Obviously, the Tyner team recorded someone at this location, but it seems very confusing as to whom it actually was. He may NOT have been born in 1830, but they reported him as being age 65 at time of death. It would appear they took the date of death off of a marker which then existed.

The "Moses Catcher" whose parents were Tickaneesky Still, and (possibly) Susie Easky, died in 1898, in which case the parents that were once identified here may not be correct; the information that once existed on this memorial, as to the parents of Moses were added here by a "SAC," as I recall, since I had no other information at the time of creating the memorial. That information was later superseded by another SAC.

A more recent SAC as follows, and it differs still, bringing into question if this is even the same person, and if (they) are even buried here:
"Father: Big Tecahneyeskee
Mother: Susie Easky
Spouse: Cootarney b.? d. 1874
Spouse: Mattie Swim b. ? d. ?
Spouse: Elizabeth Lizzie Still nee Walls b.1851 d. 1894
Children: Andrew Catcher/Ketcher b.1881 d. after 1906
Patsy Catcher/Ketcher b.1883/1884 d. May 15,1960
Josie Ketcher/Whitekiller b.1891 d.1910 (Neugin Cem.)
(buried with infant)

Moses Catcher/Ketcher is my maternal grandfather. He was born in Cherokee Nation East, Georgia, and brother to Rebecca (Becky) Ketcher Neugin and is buried in the Neugin Cemetery, Hulbert, OK.

He is a elder cousin to the Moses Ketcher whose parent(s) are John and Marguerite listed here. This younger Moses was born in 1875 in Cherokee Nation Indian Territory, now Oklahoma. He is not buried in Neugin Cemetery, Hulbert, OK., per #48024790"

Research will continue, but be aware of the concern regarding who this man's actual parents may have been, or "which" Moses Ketcher is buried here.

*His Indian name is Moses Te-Cah-ne-ya-skee.
