Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Ralph Shorey of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no visitation.
Michael was born Aug. 4, 1969, in Sioux City, the son of Joseph and Phyllis (Van Dyke) Allison Jr. He grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools, graduating from North High School. He had worked for Industrial Insulators and was currently employed with Labor Ready.
He was confirmed in the Lutheran church.
Survivors include his special friend, Terre Davis and her daughter, Grace of Sioux City; his mother, Phyllis Olson of Sioux City; his father, Joseph A. Allison Jr. of Lawton, IA; two brothers, John and Richard Allison, both of Sioux City; three sisters, Sharmon Van Dyke of Sioux City, Lisa Harder of South Sioux City and Heather Olson of Sioux City; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Melvin Olson; and his grandparents
