He was a former owner of an insurance agency and a former chemical operator at Union Carbide, So. Charleston, with 26 years of service. He was a member of the House of Delegates in 1962. He was a native of Lizemores and a member of Clay AF & AM 97. Surviving: daughter (living) of Procious; son (living) of Elkview; sister, Lucy Cantley of MacArthur; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
