Nellie T. Serafin, of Edgebrook Drive, Moosic, died Sunday at homeBorn in Mocanaqua, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Tessie Baldyga Rupinski. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca, and its Holy Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1965; granddaughter, Sharon Levandowski; brothers, Anthony and Chester; and sister, Annette Grabowski.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Marian Samselski, Nanticoke; Mrs. Gloria Levandowski, Moosic; Mrs. Helen Sutter, Phoenixville; Mrs. Annette Dawes, Jackson, N.J.; Mrs. Jeannette Gronski, with whom she resided; Mrs. Jacqueline Smith, Pittston; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday from Austin F. O'Malley III Funeral Home, 728 Main St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Moosic.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
