Services for Velva Mae Basehore, 78, of 365 Locust Point Road, Silver Spring Township, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Myers Funeral Home, 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg.
She died Sunday in her home.
Born Aug. 11, 1912, in York County, she was a daughter of the late Claude P. and Anna M. Rhoads Wilt. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of New Kingstown and its choir and was a former director of the children's choir. She was a member of United Methodist Women and a former member of Farm Women's Group 6. She was the former organist and choir director at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Frank E. Basehore; two sons, Paul J. of Mechanicsburg and Gary F. of East Berlin; one daughter, Janice B. Armstrong of Mechanicsburg; three sisters, Irene Minnich of Rome, N.Y., Almeda Care of Duncannon and Pauline McLean of Malta, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Martin W.A. Trostle will officiate.
Burial will be in Silver Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
