Joe E. Allen, 67 of Huntsville, passed away September 22, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center of Scott County in Oneida. Born in Campbell County, March 11, 1943, he was preceded in death by his father, John Allen; granddaughters: Aleasha Hill and Jamie Hill; brothers: Johnny and Robert Allen; and father- and mother-in-law, Delbert and Cleo Johnson. He is survived by his wife Pat Allen of Huntsville; children: JoLynn Hill and husband Tim, Beth Byrd, Sarah Allen, and Katie Jeffers and husband, Daniel; mother, Alene Allen; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters: Barbara Jeffers and husband, Thermon, Judy Baird and husband, Roger, and Jean West and husband, Mike; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted September 25, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Chambers and Bro. Stacey Griffith officiating. Music was provided by the Hamby Brothers.
