Philip, 51, was born May 31, 1962 to Billy Jack and Beulah Mae Morrison Finney in Lubbock, Texas. He passed away after a lengthy illness November 12, 2013 in Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Robin in 1998; and his only grandchild, Gabriell Marie Cherry in 2005; a brother, Charles Short in 1969.

He is survived by a step daughter, Alletta Cherry; two sisters, Margaret Wolfe, and Mildred Spady, both of Lubbock; one brother, Billy Finney of Ft Worth; and his fiance, Sandy Edwards of Indianapolis .

He was buried in Marion National Cemetery for Veterans in Marion, Indiana.
