Malvin was born in 1938 in St. Francis, Kansas to Albert and Edna Walter. He married Carolyn K. Hubbell on April 12, 1969 in Ft. Morgan.
Malvin was an avid sportsman and liked camping, hunting and fishing, archery and bowling. He always had a garden and enjoyed taking care of it.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn of Weldona, daughter Linda Garcia and husband Marty of Pueblo, grandsons Travis and Tony, close friend Jim Pickett of Ft. Morgan, and a sister Doris.
Malvin was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request no funeral services are scheduled at this time.
