Catherine K Dangler

Catherine K. Dangler 81, Indianapolis, IN, departed this life March 1, 2006. She was born May 6, 1924 to the late Patrick and Julia Keating. Catherine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bob Dangler, her four children, Pattiann Sharp, John Dangler, Coleen Martin and Jim Dangler, thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and her sister, Julia Ross. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Fillenwarth and Mary Jane Underhill. Catherine was a graduate of St. Agnes Academy in 1938. She retired from Indiana Bell and was a member of the Communication Workers of America. She was also a member of the Kevin Barry Division of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. Catherine was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, where she had served as President of the Little Flower Altar Society and was a member of the Parish Council. In 1999 the Danglers were honored at the Legacy Dinner at Scecina Memorial High School as Outstanding Friends and later in 2002 were honored with the Larry Neidlinger "We Care" Award. Visitation will be held Friday, March 3 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, 5377 E. Washington St., with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, March 4, followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E. 13th St. Memorial contributions are requested to Scecina Memorial High School Godparents Program or Little Flower Catholic Church.
