Services for Henry Franklin were held in the schoolhouse in Cache Creek, where the family lived for many years. His body was laid to rest beside the graves of his father, mother, brother, and sister. Services were officiated by Ernest McCoy, minister of the Seymour Church of Christ. Mr. Franklin moved to Baylor County with his parents in 1897 and had lived here practically all his life. He spent nine years in Bandera County and married Miss Louisa Clayton there. Upon returning to Baylor County he and his wife located in Seymour and have lived there ever since. Survived by his wife and three children. He is also survived by his brothers and one sister. Mr. Franklin's latter part of his life was marred by the almost total failure of his eyesight. While cutting cotton stalks, a burr flew up and struck him in the eye, and later doing the same thing another burr almost destroyed the other eye.
