Another old resident of this community has gone to her reward. Mrs. A. G. Buell passed away at her home, 618 North Eddy street, Sunday morning at 1:30, December 19th, 1920. Mrs. Buell had been poorly for several years and confined to her bed for a number of months and her death was not a surprise to those who were in close touch with her.

Kate Eveland Buell was born in Delaware county, New York, in 1846 (sic). There she grew to womanhood and was married at Wilton, New York, March 1st, 1866 to A. G. Buell. They resided there after marriage about seven years when they came to Palmer, Neb. Four years later they moved to a farm south of Chapman, Neb. There they lived until nine years ago when they moved to Grand Island where she resided so long. To Mr. and Mrs. Buell, three children were born, two dying when children; a boy eleven and a girl four years of age. One son, Frank Buell is living and is a resident of this city.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, her son Frank and family, two brothers, J. F. Eveland, of Lincoln, Neb., and Joseph Eveland, living in New York, and many friends here and especially in Chapman where she resided so long. Mrs. Buell united with the Methodist church years ago and was a member of the Trinity Methodist church of this city at the time of her death. The funeral services were held from the home at 1:30 Monday afternoon and interment made in the cemetery at Chapman. The services were in charge of Rev. J. Ray Martin, and the music was furnished by a ladies quartet from the Trinity Methodist choir.
